For safety, hold piece with one hand while squeezing expanders to open clamp with the other hand.

 

Basic use of clamps

bullet Squeezing expanders, open clamp around piece that you are going to clamp. To clamp piece
bullet Holding the piece with the other hand, release pressure on expander allowing clamp to close. To Remove clamp
bullet Remove Expander tool from clamp. If clamp is stuck on expanders
